Apple Ships Final Cut Server

—Apple® announced that Final Cut® Server, a powerful software solution for media asset management and workflow automation, is now shipping. A scaleable server application, Final Cut Server automatically catalogs large collections of assets, allows searching across multiple disks and SAN volumes and enables viewing, annotation and approval of content from anywhere using a PC or Mac®.

ORANGE TV:

As part of Orange TV’s move to their new facility, PEI integrated and installed (10) new editing systems along with a high-performance, high-capacity Storage Area Network (SAN), providing each system simultaneous access from any station to acquired AV Media. The SAN storage interfaces with their GVG playout server to provide tapeless digital transfers of material to air.

ZIMMERMAN ADVERTISING:
One of the largest advertising firms in the South East, Zimmerman produces tens of thousands of television and radio spots every year. PEI has been supplying them with high-end Apple gear and equipment and is in the process of installing a major 42TB SAN system to service 28 editing, graphics and multimedia stations.

BREVARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM:
As a continuing supplier for Avid Lanshare Media Lab for Brevard County High Schools, PEI has completed the installation and training for Viera, Edgewood, Titusville, and Bayside High Schools which represent over 70 systems to date.
